Waste electrical and electronic equipment
(WEEE) is the fastest growing waste stream in the UK.
European WEEE regulation, which came into force in January
2007, is aimed at reducing the amount of waste going
to landfill and increasing recovery and recycling rates.
Manufacturers and suppliers are obliged to comply with
the new waste regulations.
IOT Plc is ahead of the game. Together with our main
supplier Ricoh, we have taken steps to ensure we are
fully compliant with WEEE regulations. Ricoh were the
first manufacturer to set up a UK Green Centre dedicated
to recovery and recycling of toner cartridges, OPC drums
and even used machines. At the end of life, our Take
Back service recovers used equipment, removing it to
Ricoh’s approved facility for recycling.
